Choral Arts Ensemble

Choral Arts Ensemble of Rochester will present selections from its annual benefit, “A Singing Valentine.” To celebrate this romantic holiday, the choir will perform big band classics and songs from the Broadway stage. Choral Arts Ensemble is recognized for its commitment to choral excellence and has performed for the southeastern Minnesota community for 27 years.

This concert will be held 12:10–1 p.m. in Hage Atrium (subway level, Siebens Building) The program will be broadcast live on Mayo Clinic’s Patient/Visitor channel 10.


February 13

Peter Ostroushko, mandolin/fiddle &
Beppe Gambetta, guitar

Minneapolis-based Peter Ostroushko has a reputation as one of the finest mandolin and fiddle players in the world. A prolific performer and recording artist, he also is a featured soloist and composer with chamber and symphony orchestras. His latest recording is “When the Last Morning Glory Blooms.” Beppe Gambetta is an Italian guitarist who has performed throughout the world and collaborates with musicians from Italy to North America.  He has also produced numerous CDs, DVDs and teaching books.

February 20

Bill & Kate Isles

Bill Isles began performing in 2000 after a near-fatal heart attack forced him to retire from the stress of his work life. Since then, he has dedicated himself to writing music that poetically reflects life’s experiences and explores adventurous spiritual pathways. He has released eight albums along with his wife, Kate, who co-writes many of their songs. The latest is “Still Beneath the Stars and Moon” in 2011. Kate began touring with Bill regularly in 2009 after the release of their first duo album, “Matching Baggage.”
